I remember when people blamed Marilyn Manson for Columbine, which was ridiculous. The media is at it again. They aren't "blaming," but they are mentioning what music he liked, as if it's important. According to this ABC story, Seung Cho was obsessed with Collective Soul's "Shine," one of the worst popular songs of the last 20 years. The guitar riff is ripped from The Smashing Pumpkins' "Drown" and "Disarm." They managed to rip off two amazing songs, and somehow make a horrible song. It's a bad song, but I don't know if it's a red flag.
